Sewswift, based in Westhill, offers clothing repairs and alterations ranging from small jobs like sewing on badges and buttons to shortening jeans and altering formal wear such as prom dresses and bridesmaid dresses.

Anne Fell also offers dressmaking classes and sewing workshops throughout the year as well as 1 to 1 tuition.

We all know how annoying it is when the zip goes on your favourite pair of trousers, the hem drops on your party dress or your best suit no longer fits. Save the stress of shopping for a replacement and save the environment too by getting your garments repaired or altered.

Whatever your needs, from the smallest repair to an alteration or adjustment, Sewswift are on hand to assist.
Prices vary dependent upon the construction of the garment and the skills required but typically it would cost £14 to hem a pair of jeans or £38 to shorten a long lined formal dress.

Classes & Workshops
Brighten up those dark winter evenings by taking part in our sewing and dressmaking classes. Learn how to extend your skills and share lots of sewing projects whether you're a beginner or a more advanced sewist.

Sewing workshops are available for small groups run during the school holidays. We also offer 1 to 1 tuition for those who might be 'stuck' with a project or just want to learn the basics of using a sewing machine.
